WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS!
How Do I Become a Volunteer? It’s as Easy as 1-2-3!
1. If you are new to Glenhope, the first thing you must do is complete a Volunteer Background Check form from the school office. Once your form is complete and turned in, it will be forwarded to the Grapevine/Colleyville ISD administration office for processing. When your application is approved, the ISD will notify our office and you will be entered in the database at the school. If you filled out this form last spring, your information has already been processed and you will already be in the database.
2. You will then need to fill out a Volunteer Sign-Up Form. Click here to download this form. Forms are also available in the office or in the PTA forms box by the PTA bulletin board in the lobby. With that form is a chart showing ALL the volunteer opportunities available at Glenhope – not just for the PTA, but for the school, classroom and Dad’s Club. You can turn in your sign up form via your child’s backpack and it will be routed to our volunteer coordinator who will forward your name to the correct chairperson, teacher or staff member.
3. Mandatory Volunteer Orientation: If you are new to the school OR you have never been through volunteer orientation at Glenhope, you will need to sign up to do so. A schedule of orientation sessions will be sent out through your child's backpack after the first couple of weeks of school. Volunteers must also sign a “Volunteers Oath” which will be given to you at Orientation. If you missed the orientation session, information is available in the school office.
Giving your time is one of the most important things you can do as a parent. It shows your child you’re interested and that you care. There are plenty of opportunities for working parents too – many things can be done at home. And we’re not limited to just parents…some of our most dedicated volunteers are our grandparents! Thank you taking your time to make a difference in our kids lives!
